Poppy Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Young Female in Enon, Virginia

My story
Poppy is a super adorable and SMART girl!!!!She arrived to the rescue with her 5 babies.

Skinny, scared, and nervous.

She was wandering the streets looking for food to feed her babies when she and her babies were trapped and saved.

Even though she was skinny, she was still willing to let her litter suckle even though she didn't have enough milk.

She is a great momma!!!Once she was able to have all the food she wanted (and her babies, too), her personality started to show.

She is super smart, loyal, loving, cheeky, funny, cute, ready for a hike or a nap!

If she wants to be petted, she will take a hold of your sleeve or hand and bring it to her.

She can be cheeky with giving you sweet little kisses and then all of a sudden want to grab your nose as if to keep it to herself!

She does this with her mouth/teeth but is ever so playful and gentle.

After only a few days in the rescue, she learned how to unlatch the metal baby gate lock to let herself in and out of restricted areas.

SUPER SMART GIRL!!!!She is potty trained!

She walks up to the backyard door when she needs to potty.

And if you happen to miss that cue, but you have washable re-useable potty pads on the floor then she also understands to go there as well.She is playful and social. She plays very, very well with all the puppies and dogs of all ages and sizes.

But, as a momma, she will chastise a little puppy if it gets a bit too rambunctious on her.

She is still sweet and gentle about her chastise though.She is up to date on vaccines according to age and has received proper deworming several times. She is microchipped, spayed, and has been given her monthly dose of Sentinel for fleas, ticks, and heartworm.Poppy is ready to be your new family member!!All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health).Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered.Please note: this pet is located out of state.
