Bruce German Shepherd Dog Puppy Male in Enon, Virginia

My story
Bruce, Brucie Bruce!Bruce and his sister, Abby, came into the rescue because their human family were a little over their heads.

Their human family already had 3 adult dogs (including the momma of Abby and Bruce).

Momma Cara was not yet spayed when she escaped the fenced in yard.

The family found homes for 3 of the 5 of the litter.

Abby and Bruce were last ones left.

So, in a house with 5 dogs, 3 children (1 newborn) and full time jobs for both parents...you can imagine how hard it was for the family to keep up with all the dogs and house needs.

So, they reached out for help.

And A.M.O.R. rescue came to the rescue. We were happy to pick up the pups and the momma and immediately get them spayed and neutered.

Momma was returned to the family.

And Abby and Bruce stayed in the rescue.

Bruce is a sweet, gentle, and GIANT pup.

He is a GOOF BALL.

He makes us laugh all day.

The minute you want to pet him, he just falls and rolls over for belly rubs.

His bark may come off as tough and scary but give him a look and a firm NO and he readily stops.

He really wants and enjoys being cuddled and petted and loved on.

Bruce enjoys a good dip in the kiddie pool.

He likes to sit in for as long as possible and watch the pups play.

Bruce was kept mostly outside originally.

But, now, he has taken quite well to being in kennel for naps and overnight sleeping.

He does enjoy being inside with his humans.

And this has also led to him learning potty training very quickly.

But, considering his young age, potty training will be an on going task for his new family as well.

Especially, since he is so new to his potty training.Bruce is neutered, has 3 of his 4 parvo shots, bordatella shot and rabies shot.

He has also been tested and treated (if necessary) and retested for giardia and coccidia.

He is chipped, dewormed several times and is on Iverhart heartworm preventative and Simparica for fleas and ticks.Bruce is ready to bring H-U-G-E cuddles and belly laughs into your life! All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bruce, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
